22 questions for anyone considering SoftTap on brows without previous permanent makeup.
What are Virgin Skin brows?+
Virgin Skin means you do not have previous permanent makeup, microblading, nano brows, or tattoo pigment in the brow area. This gives us a clean starting point to design and build the brows intentionally.
Is Softap good for someone who has never done their brows before?+
Yes. Softap can be a beautiful option for first-time clients who want something soft, natural-looking, and not harsh or overly done.
I want soft, natural brows, not bold or blocky. Is Softap right for me?+
That is exactly the type of result Softap is often chosen for. The goal is not a harsh, heavy, blocky brow. The goal is a soft, natural-looking brow that supports your face and still looks believable as it heals.
I am over 65. Is Softap an option for me?+
Yes. Softap can be a strong option for mature clients when the goal is soft definition, balance, and a natural look. We consider skin texture, elasticity, brow hair, color, and how the result will wear over time.
Is Softap good for mature skin?+
It can be. Mature skin benefits from a careful, skin-respecting approach. The key is not forcing the skin or creating a heavy brow that overpowers the face. The plan should be soft, balanced, and realistic.
Will my brows look natural?+
That is the goal. We customize shape, softness, color, and density based on your face, existing brow hair, skin tone, age, and preference.
Will my brows look too dark at first?+
They can look darker and more defined immediately after the procedure. As the skin heals, the brows soften and lighten. The healed result is what matters most.
How many sessions are usually needed?+
Three visits are scheduled: two for the actual pigment work, and a third as a final check. That third visit is required, it's how we confirm the work meets our standard before calling it finished. It doesn't always mean more procedure, sometimes it's simply verifying how you healed.
How long does the session take?+
Plan for a little over an hour total. Numbing and prep take about 30 minutes, and the actual application typically runs 30 to 45 minutes after that, depending on your brows.
Why not make them perfect in one session?+
Skin heals in real life, not on paper. Building gradually, and confirming with a final check once healed, lets us see how your skin accepts pigment before adding more density or refinement.
Do you remove my natural brow hair?+
No. Your natural brow hair is preserved. Softap works with your existing brow hair so the final result blends naturally.
Is Softap a machine?+
No. Softap is not performed with an electric machine. It is a manual hand-tap method that uses sterile needle groupings in specific configurations for controlled pigment placement.
Is Softap a blade like microblading?+
No. Microblading uses cutting strokes. Softap uses manual tapping. The goal is softer pigment placement, not hard etched-in lines.
How is Softap different from microblading, nano, or machine brows?+
Softap is the lane we specialize in because we trust the soft healed look and how it ages. Other methods can look beautiful in the right hands, but skin, depth, density, and artist approach all affect the long-term result.
Does it hurt?+
In our experience, clients find Softap very comfortable. Most describe the sensation as similar to having their eyebrows tweezed.
What is the downtime like?+
Mild redness can happen at first, followed by dryness or light flaking. Brows soften significantly as they heal.
Can I go to work during healing?+
Usually, yes. Brows may look more defined at first and then soften through the healing process. Most clients can continue normal daily life with proper aftercare.
Will my brows turn gray or blue over time?+
Our goal is stable, natural healed color. Color shifts can be influenced by undertone, depth, skin behavior, sun exposure, and pigment history. We choose color intentionally and work for a natural fade, not a harsh color change.
Are you diabetic or blood-thinner friendly?+
Yes. Having diabetes or taking blood thinners does not automatically rule you out. We've worked with clients in both situations. We recommend checking with your doctor beforehand, just to be safe.
Are the artists at Masters At Werk licensed and insured to perform permanent makeup?+
Yes. Masters At Werk is a licensed and insured professional studio.
Why is pricing discussed by phone?+
Because pricing only makes sense once your goals, brow starting point, skin, and desired result are understood. We want to make sure you know what you are getting before discussing the final investment.
What is the next step if this feels like a good fit?+
Call Masters At Werk and ask for Jason. He can go over final questions with you, including pricing, what may be realistic for your brows, and the best next step from there.
